Alice in Our Own Wonderland: Thoughts of Surrendering into Absurdity to Become Resilient
“We are taught to be crazy from the start. Living crazy days to survive the crazy pace of life in an even crazier environment. Becoming what is normal to our senses means becoming a crazy one in the crazy society.”
You know, we’re practically handed a ticket to the madhouse from the moment we take our first breath. It’s like, “Welcome to the world! Now, let’s see how well you can juggle the craziness life could throw.”
We’re all just trying to live through these insane days, surviving the breakneck speed of life in a world that seems to get crazier with every passing moment. It’s a wild ride, and seems like the only way to stay sane is to embrace the madness.
I mean, think about it. Normalcy is a moving target. What’s considered sane today might be utterly bonkers tomorrow. It’s a game where the rules change faster than we can figure them out. So, we adapt. We become the crazy ones to survive in a world that’s even crazier. It’s like trying to find order in the chaos, or as they say, “You have to be odd to be number one.”
We grow up in a society that has its own unique brand of craziness. It’s like being handed a playbook for a game where the rules change every other minute. And it gets overwhelming with unspoken pressure to conform, being a cog in the machine of societal expectations.
A misfit.
Although, there’s also a paradoxical beauty in its maddening process, still. Through time, we’re also exposed to a belief that embracing the craziness and allowing ourselves to be a little mad could also be the key to finding some semblance of peace in this chaotic journey.
If we are not powerful enough to face the effects of creating a breakthrough, accepting the unpredictability of life would help us find a temporary resort in the midst of the madness. Simply put, be convenient to make use of the given moves instead of thinking hard to counter with a new move.
Become the Alice in our own Wonderland, facing nonsensical adventures, encountering characters and situations that mirror the absurdity of our own lives. Hoping to make sense of the senseless.
After all, life’s too short to only be pondered about. So, as we venture into the chaos, we should at least see that we are not only taught to be crazy, but to evolve, grow, and redefine our own version of sanity in this ever-changing, often absurd world.
In the end, it’s the crazy ones who make a dent in the universe, color outside the lines, and burn like fabulous yellow Roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars, as Kerouac said.
“Why fit in when you were born to stand out?”
